The Valley Season 2 premieres this week. Several of the cast members are in drastically different situations when it comes to their relationships than in the premiere season. Yet Nia Booko and Danny Booko seem to be the exception. They’ve seemingly been crowned the “couple goals” of the series. But a behind-the-scenes feud with costar Jax Taylor will throw them for a loop this coming season.
Two main couples of The Valley are separated between seasons. Brittany Cartwright filed for divorce from Jax in August 2024. While Jesse Lally and Michelle Lally decided to call it quits for good. The only other happy update for the cast was Kristen Doute’s pregnancy with fiancé Luke Broderick. But Nia and Danny will encounter rumors and uncertainty this season.
The Valley Season 2 will see Nia and Danny Booko’s marriage questioned
The couple exclusively revealed to Us Weekly that they felt having a successful marriage put “a target” on their backs.
“There were a lot of conversations that happened that we were not a part of,” Nia said of Season 2. “There’s moments that catch you off guard a little bit.”
Danny added that it “was a surprise” to see their marriage questioned by their supposed friends on screen. His wife praised his handling of the situation “with integrity and character.”
“There were things that had happened way before we had started filming that people wanted to bring back up that were already resolved,” he stated. “It was people coming with a little bit of a target on our back because of how we were portrayed in season 1.”
Danny continued, “All you can do is put your best foot forward and handle everything with ownership, character, integrity and move on, get better and take care of it. All you can do is make sure the No. 1 relationship is us and that we’re strong. That’s what we always do. We’re really strong in communication and making that happen.”
The couple are ready to welcome their fourth child stronger than ever
Nia and Danny will soon be “a family of six.” The former Miss USA winner is pregnant. The couple already has a son Asher, 3, and one-and-a-half-year-old twins, Isabelle and Zariah. Nia is anticipating a “crazy, wild, and beautiful” situation when her child is born.
“What we experienced while filming over the summer could have brought us farther apart or brought us more together. But because of the way we communicate and how we are, I feel like we’re stronger than ever. Even more than before. I feel like we’re very blessed that we have great communication because it didn’t affect us,” she shared.
Season 2 of The Valley premieres Tuesday, April 15 at 9/8c on Bravo.
