Knicks vs Bucks Injury Report: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jalen Brunson Status Revealed

The New York Knicks and Milwaukee Bucks will be facing off tonight in what could be a potential playoff preview.

If the season ended right now, these two teams would be squaring off against one another in the first round.

The game tonight could have big playoff implications on both sides, making this matchup very interesting. However, both teams enter this game with some concerning injuries across the roster.

For the Knicks, they are still without two-time All-Star point guard Jalen Brunson after he suffered a right ankle sprain weeks ago. Due to this, Brunson has been ruled out for this game against Milwaukee.

New York is hopeful that Brunson can return for the postseason push, but time is running out. There are just a few weeks to go before the playoffs start, and there hasn’t been a concrete answer on when he will return.

For the year, Brunson has averaged 26.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 7.4 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. The star guard is the engine that drives the New York offense, and they’ve stumbled a little without him on the floor.

As for the Bucks, the biggest name on the injury report for the game today is star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. Antetokounmpo was listed as questionable for the game with a foot injury, but he will ultimately suit up against the Knicks.

Antetokounmpo missed the last game for the Bucks, and Milwaukee looked very out of sorts. The availability of the star is even more crucial now that guard Damian Lillard is out indefinitely.

Milwaukee is going to rely on Antetokounmpo even more without Lillard, and this game against the Knicks is crucial. The Bucks are in a tight battle in the Eastern Conference standings, sitting in the No. 6 spot of the playoff picture.

The Bucks are only 2.5 games behind the Indiana Pacers for the No. 4 spot, making every game even more important down the stretch. If they can get this game against the Knicks, it could help their seeding case, as well as give them confidence in case they meet New York in the postseason.
