Jodie Sweetin Shares Throwback Photos from Season 1 of Full House

How cute! On the Instagram account of their rewatch podcast How Rude, Tanneritos!, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber shared photos of the Full House season 1 Christmas party with Sweetin and costars Bob Saget, Dave Coulier and John Stamos.

They pair included the caption, “Throwing it back to the Full House season 1 Christmas party with Jodie & the guys 🎄🥰 Fun fact: Jeff Franklin bought Jodie her very first bike at this time!!” Franklin created the series, among other TV hits.

Sweetin, who played middle child Stephanie Tanner in the series, is seen in these photos separately with each male lead from the show: Saget, who played her dad Danny Tanner; Stamos, who played her uncle Jesse Katsopolis; and Coulier, who played family friend Joey Gladstone.

Kelly Rizzo, the wife of the late Bob Saget, commented, “🥹🥹🥹” on the post. Saget and Rizzo got married in 2018, and were together until his death in 2022.

Full House aired for eight seasons from 1987 to 1995. Sweetin reprised her role in the Netflix reboot Fuller House, which spanned five seasons from 2016 to 2020. Full House also starred Candace Cameron Bure, Lori Loughlin, Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen; all but the Olsens returned in various roles for Fuller House.

Recently, Sweetin and Barber talked about how they thought the adults on the show were mean to Barber’s character, Kimmy Gibbler. Barber noted that as the series went on, Danny, Jesse and Joey got increasingly tough in the zingers directed her way.

The show, she said, “didn’t acknowledge that Kimmy is an actual person with feelings. Like, they brought me up to be this caricature that was immune to insults. It was like, no. She’s obviously a real person.”

“I mean, the adults should have talked behind Kimmy’s back,” Barber joked. “That’s what you do when your kid has an annoying friend.”

“That’s the Full House lesson, people,” she added with a laugh.
