Jake Paul’s ‘daddy’ reminds rival about famous loss amid Anthony Joshua fight talk

Tommy Fury has hit Jake Paul with a reality check after his recent call-out of Anthony Joshua.

Tyson Fury‘s younger brother beat ‘The Problem Child’ by split decision in February 2023.

Tommy Fury also beat KSI in October of the same year, but he’s been sidelined with a hand injury ever since.

In contrast, Jake Paul has bounced back with five wins over the likes of Nate Diaz, Mike Perry, and boxing legend Mike Tyson, who helped the YouTuber-turned-fighter attract 60 million to Netflix for their fight in November.

Flying high after the biggest win of his career, Paul has begun targeting boxing’s biggest stars.

A fight with Canelo Alvarez was believed to be ‘done’ before the Mexican legend decided to sign with Turki Alalshikh instead.

Last week, Paul turned his attention to a fight with former two-time heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua, who appears to be entertaining the matchup after having his chin and skillset questioned by a boxing novice.

It’s safe to say Tommy Fury finds the idea of his old rival fighting Joshua absolutely ridiculous.

“Good morning, guys, just wanted to give a little opinion on everything I have been seeing on social media lately,” Fury said in a video shared to his Instagram story.

“Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua, just wanted to come on here and remind everyone that that bum couldn’t beat me when I basically had a broken hand.

“I had one hand, and he still lost. Jake Paul, I’m still your daddy, and everybody weighing this fight up, don’t bother because it ain’t worth a shilling.

“And the loss will always be there, Mr. Paul. Take it easy and have a good day.”

When will Tommy Fury fight again?

Fury was supposed to return to the ring against former UFC star Darren Till on January 18.

However, the 25-year-old withdrew from their contest after Till threatened to use kicks during the fight.

On Wednesday, Fury suggested that his long-awaited return to the ring is almost upon us.

“I’m in the best shape of my life, fit and ready to go,” he wrote in a follow-up Instagram story.

“Got some really big fight news on the way for you guys… Stay tuned.”
