Katia isn’t one for filters—not the kind you find on social media, but the ones life throws at you. For her, motherhood has always been about more than just appearances. She highlighted the challenges women face during pregnancy, yet they “mask, overcome endure intense discomfort.” Take her experience, for instance—she was literally “experiencing the worst nausea and vomiting going into the postseason.” Yet, she stood by her husband, who was turning heads. Her authenticity has struck a chord with so many, elevating her beyond just being the wife of an MLB star.

And what about Francisco? The Mets star couldn’t be more excited about this new chapter of their lives. He often talks about how much family means to him in interviews, crediting his success to the love and support he gets at home. Perhaps he’s inspired by his wife.

After talking for three months, they finally met each other in Arizona, when Francisco was there for spring training. That first meeting sparked something special, and soon after, they began dating. And in 2021, they officially tied the knot. Since then, Katie and their daughters have been with Francisco every step of the way. Even Mets manager Carlos Mendoza recognizes the support the shortstop has: “His support system off the field is incredible. People around him continue to push him and continue to support him, especially in those tough stretches. That’s why this guy is the complete package.”
